Funding
WorkCover
If your injury happened at work — physical or psychological — WorkCover Queensland may fund your sessions.
Who this applies to
Psychological injury from work is a real claim category, not a lesser one. That includes injury from a single incident, from sustained exposure, and from bullying or a critical event at work.
It also covers people whose claim started as a physical injury and who are now carrying the psychological weight of it, which is more common than the paperwork suggests.
What sessions look like
Exactly the same as any other session. Your claim changes who pays; it doesn't change how I work with you or what we can talk about.
I do have to report on attendance and progress at a level WorkCover requires. I'll tell you plainly what goes in those reports. You should never be surprised by something written about you.
How to get started
- Book your first session through the client portal and let me know it's a WorkCover matter. Have your claim number ready, or tell me if your claim isn't lodged yet and I'll point you to how that works.
- You pay for that first session yourself when you book, while WorkCover is still deciding, and you claim it back from WorkCover directly.
- Once I have WorkCover's approval in writing, I invoice them directly for the sessions that follow, using your claim number. You don't pay for those.
Dealing with WorkCover directly
For anything about your claim itself — lodging it, checking its status, or asking what it covers — WorkCover Queensland is the one who can answer. I can tell you what’s approved for our sessions; the claim is theirs.

Being upfront
Approval is WorkCover's decision, not mine, and I can't promise an outcome. If your claim isn't approved, we can talk about self-funded sessions or I'll help you find lower-cost options. You won't be left without a next step.
Not sure if you're eligible?
Write to me, or ask when you book. I'll tell you honestly whether it's likely to apply to you.
